Our PIP Arbitration team is growing! We are seeking a Legal Assistant who will be responsible for several administrative tasks.
This is a full-time position, onsite in our Paramus, NJ office. We are in-office 5 days a week, Monday – Friday 8:30am-5pm.
Responsibilities
- Filing of Demands for Arbitration.
- Processing of provider checks and assisting with processing of counsel fee and costs checks.
- Assistance with new file review including but not limited to:
- Organization and review of EOBs, medical records, pre-certification requests, appeals, etc.
- Communication with medical providers, insurance companies, attorney offices, etc. to obtain missing or incomplete documentation.
- Preparation of fee schedule breakdown.
- Assistance with preparation and submission of post-service appeals.
- Handling all inquiries and phone calls from insurance companies and providers.
Qualifications
- Experience in an office setting dealing with high volume calls and inquiries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and proficient with Windows/MS Office Applications including Outlook Calendar, Word, Excel as well as Google spreadsheets and PDF editors.
- Knowledge of PIP Arbitration, a plus
