Overview:

We are excited to launch a new Business & Commercial Litigation practice area and are seeking a skilled Business Litigation Paralegal to support its growth. This role will assist attorneys with complex commercial disputes, contract matters, and business-related claims while helping establish workflows and best practices for the new department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in litigation support, with the ability to manage deadlines, draft key documents, and keep cases organized from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with case management across all stages of business litigation, including pleadings, discovery, pre-trial preparation, settlement negotiations, and trial support.
  • Draft, proofread, and prepare litigation documents such as complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, notices, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research and fact investigations related to contract disputes, business records, financial documents, and corporate filings.
  • Organize and maintain electronic case files, exhibits, discovery logs, and document databases.
  • Manage and track deadlines, court dates, filing requirements, and attorney calendars.
  • Coordinate filings in state and federal courts (including e-filing).
  • Assist with deposition preparation, including exhibit management and witness files.
  • Communicate with clients, experts, vendors, and court personnel in a professional manner.
  • Support attorneys in trial preparation, including witness lists, exhibit binders, trial notebooks, and logistics.
  • Contribute to developing best practices and workflows for the new practice area.

Qualifications:

  • 2–5+ years of litigation paralegal experience (business or commercial litigation preferred).
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures in state and federal court.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with case-management systems, e-filing platforms, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and take initiative.
  • Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.

The anticipated base pay listed is a range, actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of our total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes discretionary bonus, 401(k), paid time off, and health benefits.

Compensation Range:
$75,000—$85,000 USD

Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
